Core Beliefs

Our beliefs are based on the principles of positive behavior supports and years of experience working with children and families. Behavior is a form of communication.

  1. A child's problematic behavior is often an effort to obtain or avoid something. Behavior can also be the result of skill deficits. Our focus is on teaching new skills and providing positive supports to adopt alternatives to challenging behaviors.
  2. Collaboration and teamwork with the family and/or caregivers are the keys to successful behavior support plans.
  3. A child’s strengths are the foundation for successful intervention. Behavior support plans are individualized for each child and developed in a way that is reasonable for the family to carry out.
  4. Behavior change is a process. We are here to support families with each step, through assessment, plan development, in-home coaching and follow-up consultation.

Our goal is to empower each family for future success.
